About our Horses
We have beautiful Irish cobs who are members of our family who are loved and well cared for. We never work the same horse every day we rotate them and give them days off. They also only do the one trip a day to dun Aonghasa so that day trip tour is never rushed. They are kept out in large pastures and not confined in Stables. The Gypsy Cobs have compact, powerful bodies with broad backs, thick manes and tails and feathered feet and are known for being strong, good natured and very hardy

Our Story
About Us: Our Heritage, Our Passion
Inis Mór Horse Carriage Tours
is a family-run business with deep roots in the Aran Islands. For nearly two decades, we have shared the beauty of Inis Mór with visitors from around the world, but our connection to these roads goes back much further.
Our family’s history as "Jarveys" began with one of the first jaunting carts on the island. In those days, horses weren’t just for tours; they were the primary lifeline for the community, and was responsible for transporting local residents and even the parish priest across the island's rugged landscape.
A Legacy of Excellence
We began our own journey using the traditional two-to-four-person "trap" that was once the standard of the era. As we grew, so did our commitment to our guests’ comfort. we became the first on the island to introduce a custom-built, eight-seater Irish carriage, bringing a new level of quality to the Inis Mór touring experience.
with all this allowed us to cultivate a profound understanding of equine care and temperament.
The Experience
Bringing joy to others through our love for horses is at the heart of everything we do. Our experienced drivers prioritize your safety and comfort as they guide you through the island’s rich history and breathtaking scenery. From the rhythmic sound of hooves on stone paths to the panoramic views of the Atlantic, we offer a unique window into the traditional way of life on Inis Mór.
